Hi! I started teaching in 1998 at a little high school near Lake Almanor, California. I taught in a brick and mortar setting for 13 years before coming to the online world.

I absolutely love being a teacher, and I especially enjoy working with high school students and young adults. Teaching writing is my strength, and I'm always willing to meet with students one-on-one to help them with their writing, listen to ideas, and even read the personal works my students create.

Online teaching allows me to tailor my feedback to my students, so I really appreciate all essays being submitted in a Word or Google Doc format so that I can make comments for revision.

I am mom to three cool people - Aerik, Nathan, and Jenna, wife to a cool husband named Brandon, and daughter to amazing gradparents Lou and Sammye Istrice. I am also dog mom to a rottweiler pup, Zena, and a feisty yorkipoo named Jazzy!
