Students can have cell phones on campus, but they need to be in the off or silent position during school hours. Cell phones are not allowed to be used during the school day as they are a distraction to student learning.
If a student is found using a phone during the instructional day, they will be reminded of the rule and ask to put it away. If it happens again, a teacher may take it to hold for the day and give it back at the end of the day.
During testing, students are not allowed to wear smartwatches unless they are documented in a Health Plan, 504, or IEP. Students can put their smartwatches in their backpacks or on a table until testing is done.
