Dear Huffaker Families,
We hope you had a wonderful winter break and enjoyed some family time. We are all rested and ready to continue the amazing work we do at Huffaker.
As a reminder the playground opens at 9:10 a.m. and the bell to begin instruction rings at 9:25 a.m. Students are marked tardy at 9:30 a.m. Students are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. except on Wednesdays when students are dismissed at 2:45 p.m.
If we get more storms and it is unsafe for the buses to get students safely to school, the district may call a two-hour delay. If this is the case, Huffaker would begin two hours later at 11:25 and the playground would open at 11:10. There would not be any before school services such as Judy’s Kids Klub and breakfast.
In the event of inclement weather, other natural disasters, or accident and it becomes necessary to close schools, the District will utilize our three planned contingency (make-up) days at the end of the school year first. If a fourth day of closure is necessary, a PD (non-student contact) day will be utilized to plan for future distance learning. Any subsequent closures, students would transition to distance learning for the affected days.
