Dear Families,

Thank you to everyone who participated in Happy Hearts Week! We raised money for our library and the students really enjoyed all the balloons and love! Thank you to Mrs. Allison and all of our volunteers who helped make this possible!

Thank you, too, for all those who participated in our Yogurt Beach and Bingo Fundraisers!  We hope you had a great time!

We kick off this month with reading week. Our activities are designed to encourage a love of reading and to keep practicing to improve our reading skills.  We hope your child will have a great week!

We finish off our month with spring break from March 17-28.  We look forward to seeing you back on March 31st.

Dear Families,

Happy New Year!

Thank you for making December a holiday to remember for so many families!  Thanks to your generosity, DDES families received gifts and holiday meals.  Thank you for making this a special time for all our families!

December ended our grading period.  Report cards will come home to you on Tuesday, January 14th.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress. Although our second set of parent conferences have been canceled to make up for our smoke days, teachers are always happy to talk with you about your child’s progress.

This month we will be running the WIDA Access test for students who are English Language Learners, and students in K-3 will be taking our reading MAP test.

Let’s get ready for a second semester full of learning!

Dear Families,
Thank you for making Thanksgiving a wonderful holiday with your kind donations! We will again be supporting families in need for holidays in December. Thak you for helping our fellow Coyotes!
This month, 5th grade will be selling winter bracelets and necklaces for a fundraiser for their end of the year celebration.
On December 19th, we will be having a school assembly and on the 18th-19th students will be receiving a gift courtesy of Toys for Tots. Make sure your student is here for the fun!
Our winter break begins for students on Friday, December 20th and goes through Friday, Jan. 3. School will be in session on Monday, January 6th as we are making up a smoke day on that day. We hope you have an enjoyable winter break!

Dear Families,
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Fall Festival! It was a fun night! And thank you to all those who donated to make this such a successful event for our classrooms!
October is a busy month here at DDES !
Fall break is Oct. 7-14th. Students return on Tuesday, Oct. 15th.
Parent teacher conferences are coming up this month from Oct. 18th-24th . Please sign up with your child’s teacher if you haven’t done so already. These will be half days for students to allow time for the conferences, so please make arrangements as students will leave early each day at 1:05.
Our annual trunk or treat hosted by our PTO will be held on Oct. 24th. We need volunteers for this event so please consider signing up. We hope to see everyone there!
Finally, Nevada Day will be celebrated on Oct. 25th and school will be closed. Have a fun, safe 3 day weekend!

Dear Families,
We are off to a great school year! The month of September brings many fun events to DDES!
Bingo night will be held on Friday, Sept. 13th at 6:30. This is a fun fundraising event for the whole family!
The fall festival will be held on September 24th from 4-6:00 PM at our school. This fun fundraiser supports classrooms directly. We can accept cash or check only. We hope to see you there!
Our first PTO meeting will happen on September 17th at 5:30 in the library. Joining this wonderful group is a fantastic way to make a big difference in
Picture day is happening on the 27th this month for all students. Wear your brightest smile!
Finally, our October break begins Oct. 7-14th for students.
