    School Information:

Incline Elementary School is a Pre-K-5th grade, public community elementary school serving Incline Village and the surrounding areasStudents receive instruction based on their academic level, whether it be instructional enrichment for students who are excelling or interventions for students who require additional support. Interventions vary and may be offered in the form of tiered support in the classroom through individualized special education services, for those who qualify.   In addition to the curriculum offered within the classroom, students rotate daily to specialty courses in the areas of music, PE, art, library, and computer science.

Instruction is organized around STREAM: Science/Social Studies, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math; students have opportunities to receive daily STREAM instruction with their classroom teachers, go on field trips to explore the Tahoe environment, and have access to other STREAM programs through partnerships with our Tahoe-based partners.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports: Students are encouraged to be respectful, responsible, and safe. Students who meet and exceed behavioral expectations are acknowledged in many ways.

Health and wellness opportunities for students are important at Incline ES. In addition to the half-time PE instructor, fitness activities such as Jog-a-thon, Girls on the Run, and Ski Club are supported. Students are also taught the benefits of eating a well-balanced diet and our school cafeteria provides a daily breakfast and lunch that comes with both fruit and vegetable options to balance out the carbohydrate and protein portion of the meal.

21st Century Vision: Incline Elementary School supports technology implementation and 21st Century Skills in a student-centered classroom that gives students the opportunity to collaborate, think creatively, and research real world issues. Efforts to advance student centered learning through 21st Century instruction and technology use elevate students’ readiness for college and careers through learning environments that develop 21st Century Competencies. Incline ES engages our families throughout the year with opportunities for collaboration and celebration, such as Back-to-School Night, parent conferences, Family Science Night, PTA meetings for both English and Spanish-speaking parents, parent workshops, and student celebrations of achievement.

Student Pledge of Learning: I am an active learner. I value other points of view. I succeed by being my best self. Failure is an opportunity, not a certainty. Effort is the key to my success.
