Kindergarten Registration for School Year 2025-2026

If your child is five years old on or before August 1, 2025, they can enroll in kindergarten for the upcoming school year.  Registration is a two-step process.  First, please complete the online registration on the District website, washoeschools.net.  You will look for kindergarten registration.  Your second step is to bring your zoned school, your child's original birth certificate, vaccination records and proof of residency in the form of a mortgage statement or lease agreement.  Please bring your documents to the school office prior to June 6th.  After June 6th, please call the school for drop off hours.  Please find attached a document regarding school vaccinations.  Resource for Schools, Vaccinations

    Climate Survey

The Annual Family Climate Survey window is now open from February 10th-April 25th.  We appreciate your opinions about your child's school, which will help the district improve your child's education.  To take the survey online, please washoeschools.net/Page/6424 to find the survey link for your school.  Families who complete the survey can be entered into a raffle for one of five gift cards.

    State Testing: (Grades 3-5 Only):

Students in grades 3-5 will begin their annual state assessments this spring. Third and fourth graders will take English Language Arts and Mathematics tests, which include both multiple-choice and written response sections, on computers. Fifth graders will take the same assessments, with the addition of a Science test.

The Science test will begin the week of March 10, before spring break. We have carefully structured the testing schedule to balance testing days and durations, ensuring that students do not feel overwhelmed or rushed. Testing for grades 3-5 will continue through the first week of May, allowing students ample time to complete each assessment with breaks in between.

Please find attached the current schedule for state testing.  Schedule of State Testing
