- Another reminder that playground supervision begins at 9:10 each morning. Please do not drop your child off before that time, and if you need to utilize Judy's Kidz Klub for childcare services before 9:10, you can easily sign your child up.
- Hunsberger will again be participating in the District's soccer league. If you are interested in sponsoring our school's jerseys please contact the office. More information to follow in the coming weeks.
- Please continue to honor all of our parking lot and pick-up/drop-off procedures. Please do not block lanes, and during drop-off and pick-up, there is no parking in the front of the school. When dropping your child off for choir or any class or club, please use the parent drop-off area, not the front of the school. Thank you for your help with keeping our school safe.
- The District has in place a very easy system to pay for your child's hot lunch account through Infinite Campus. Please monitor your child's account and if you receive a balance letter please take note of your balance and if you owe any outstanding funds please pay those as soon as possible.
- The Washoe County School District has established Administrative Procedure 7330-Animals on School Grounds. The policy states, "Pets and animals are not permitted on District property. Properly certified service animals, as designated by the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAA), are permitted on school grounds." Please refrain from bringing animals onto school property.
Hunsberger Elementary will take part in the District's soccer league for Spring 2019. Boys and girls in 5th and 6th grade are eligible to participate. Practice will be every Thursday from 3:45-5:00pm, starting February 21st. Players will be expected to attend all practices. There will also be a mandatory parent/player meeting on Friday, February 15th at 9:00 am in room D4. The team will be limited to 22 players and spaces will be filled in the order applications are received. The deadline for applications is Friday, February 8, at 9:30 am. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Pickett in the office. Please see the below link for a message from Mrs. Snelgrove, our soccer coach and the application.

Happy New Year Families!
Thank you so much to those of you who gave to the 'Angel Tree'. I was completely in awe by the enourmous amount of gifts and toys provided. Every request was granted! Our Hunsberger community directly supported 36 children, 24 adults, and a total of 14 families with wrapped presents. In addition, your toy donations filled an entire pick-up truck and toys were distributed to over 100 children at Veterans Memorial Elementary School. Please read the letter of thanks from Veterans which is below.

Hello Hunsberger families,
The "sun" platter project is in full swing and we have a handful completed already! Please check your child's teacher if they need help with their class platter. All of the supplies, complete directions, and inspiration book are located in the teacher's lounge. They must be completed by February 25th for the Husky Fine Arts Night March 5th.
The Husky Art program is supported by volunteers and your kids teachers need you. Please contact your teachers and see how you can help; it's so easy and fun!
Thank you from your Husky Art Team!
