MUSIC PERFORMANCES:
We are excited to announce a new schedule for our student music programs, which will now take place from 2:30-3:30 pm. I understand this is a change from previous years, but it allows us to better support all students in showcasing their musical talents. It will also help us accommodate families more conveniently while ensuring students have ample time to prepare and perform. We are confident that this adjustment will create a more inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility with this change. Please see the Music Program dates below:

HUNSBERGER HEROES:
We are continuing our long-standing tradition of Hunsberger Heroes. Becoming a Hunsberger Hero is easy. There are no cookies, wrapping paper or coupon books to sell. Families simply make a monetary contribution to the school, all of which directly supplement the cost of technology maintenance, supplemental texts, intervention support, student recognition, social/emotional learning, and much more (up to 10% of funds received may be used for staff recognition). All contributions are tax-deductible (Federal Tax ID #88-6000-919). So, join us in this “no-fundraiser-fundraiser" by sending your check to the school or in the mail (2505 Crossbow Ct. Reno, NV 89511).
We greatly appreciate your support!

COUNSELOR CORNER:
Dear Hunsberger Families,
I want to sincerely thank those of you who gave gift cards to us this holiday season. You helped so many children (and parents) have a wonderful Christmas. We dispersed over $1,500 worth of gift cards to our families here at Hunsberger and at Peavine Elementary. I have received many 'Thank You's' and it's all because of the kindness of our Hunsberger community. It touches my heart that your donations have had such a huge impact. Thank you for caring about those struggling this year. You truly showed the holiday spirit! Please see the attached letter from the Counselor at Peavine Elementary. Thank You from Peavine Elementary School

Welcome back! We hope you all had an enjoyable break. We are excited for art lessons to begin again, and for January, our 1st-4th grade students will participate in the Artist Study Unit. Each grade is assigned a specific art movement, with different artists to choose from. Kindergarten will participate in the Clay Unit and will be making "kinder hands". Our 5th grade students will learn about "Leading Lines" as pertaining to photography, and they will use our Canon digital cameras.
We will begin our collaborative art installation inspired by this year's theme of "Here We Grow." You can view that in the main hallway at Fine Arts Night, Tuesday, May 20th, 5:30-7:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
