HUNSBERGER HEROES:
We are continuing our long-standing tradition of Hunsberger Heroes. Becoming a Hunsberger Hero is easy. There are no cookies, wrapping paper or coupon books to sell. Families simply make a monetary contribution to the school, all of which directly supplements the cost of technology maintenance, supplemental texts, intervention support, student recognition, social/emotional learning, and much more (up to 10% of funds received may be used for staff recognition). All contributions are tax-deductible (Federal Tax ID #88-6000-919). So, join us in this “no-fundraiser-fundraiser" by sending your check to the school or in the mail (2505 Crossbow Ct. Reno, NV 89511).
We greatly appreciate your support!

A great big Husky High Five to those who participated in our World Kindness Day/PJ Day fundraiser. We raised just under $700 for the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation which will be matched by the William N. Pennington Foundation for a total of $1,400.00!!
The Kindness Crew is working on spreading holiday cheer by decorating Holiday cards for students at other schools in our area. Cards should be turned in by December 14th.
The Kindness Crew will be selling Holiday Hats during lunch for $5.00 each on Thursday and Friday, December 14-15th. Students who purchase hats will be able to bring their hat to lunch on the 18-19th to grab a piece of flair to put on their hat. Purchased hats may be worn the week of December 18-21st. Quantity is limited. If your student would like to participate, please send them with $5.00 on December 14-15th.
A big THANK YOU to our friends at Western Concrete Cutting for cutting out the old concrete and rocks in front of our school, and thanks to the PTO for purchasing the rock that was put down in those areas. Thanks for making our school look beautiful!

We do our best to display lost items but the area is overloaded. We appreciate your help in capturing your stuff.
Friday Spirit Day: We encourage all students to wear their husky colors every Friday!
HUSKY ARTS:
Secrets abound this month in Husky Arts! So many classes are working on holiday gifts to bring home to their families. It’s a very exciting time to be an artist. Please give extra praise to any handmade gift you may receive this season. Someone poured all their love and caring into the item, just for you.
This month, our art curriculum focus is color. Depending on the grade level, students are exploring primary colors, secondary colors, complementary colors, and even analogous colors. Classes have been painting, mixing and making various colorful creations.
We hope everyone pulls out their paints and pencils during the break and creates a beautiful, fun project. Enjoy your break and Happy Arting!Cheri and Morgan,
Husky Arts Coordinators
