    Dear Parents,

    Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Stead Elementary School. For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, we are a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff who are all dedicated to the successful education of our children.  The PTO works hard to help make the school year both enjoyable and exciting for students, teachers, and parents.

    The Stead Elementary School PTO would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning families. Working together we can truly make a difference at Stead. Every positive imprint we make on our children can go a long, long way. If you are able to give some time, day or evenings, please join us! Many hands make the job easier!

    What does the PTO do?

    We plan, and organize events such as Fall Fundraiser, Cookie & Cocoa, Winter Family Ball, Silent Auction, Bingo & Dinner, Luau family Dance, Jog-a-thon, and Water Play.  Some of these events help raise funds to support our school. We use our money to help with technology and matters to staff and students.  

    What ways can a Parent volunteer?

    Anyone with a child at the Stead Elementary is invited to be part of all the volunteer opportunities. Here are some ways to get involved:

    • Participate with your family in our Family Fun events and enjoy our school community.
    • Volunteer with your child’s teacher or any staff members. Please fill out a Volunteer form in the front office.
    • Our group meets once a month to discuss school programs, plan fundraisers and events, and share ideas. This is a great way to find out what is happening at our school. Meeting dates for the 2018-2019 are posted here and also on the PTO Board in the cafeteria. Our meetings are held at 3:15 in room A-4

    We in the PTO believe that it is the ultimate importance that parents do everything we can to enhance the learning environment of our children as they truly are our future. It will take all of us working together to ensure that this happens. We look forward to getting to know you and hope we do all we can to make you feel welcome!
