Welcome to Incline Elementary School Counseling! The Counseling Department here at Incline celebrates student voice, parent involvement and has a mission to support each and every student toward academic success. This page will keep you up to date on student and parent supports, activities, and tools your students can use to succeed. If there is anything I can do to support you or your student please let me know!
Here are some resources we use at school that are helpful for students.
Try working on these everyday. - These are the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards that you can work on with your student. If they can demonstrate the indicators to the right then move on to the next one. The zones of regulation below will help them with the first one ...Self Awareness.
Zones of Regulation - Use this to help your students work on Self Awareness and how to get to the Green Zone to learn.
Mental Health for students - Nice graph to help students stay happy and healthy.
Feelings Chart - Pick a feeling or two a day

Leadership: Our school leaders are an essential part of our school climate and voice. They truly make a difference. Here are some of the things they have accomplished for our school so far.
2017-2018 -Presented and Requested of Boys and Girls Club Management that they have a morning program and a program during breaks for students in need. Success! Asked for increases in brain breaks, bathroom breaks and candies during standardized tesing across the board to improve performance of all students. Vounteered and taught Playworks (cooperative games) to classrooms to encourage safe play.
2018-2019-Created a food survey to incorporate student choice in the elementary school menu and presented it to WCSD food services department. Success! Created a leader led new student/visitor tour that is done for each family as they enroll in Incline Elementary School. Created and decorated a Joy Cube so that all students and staff could write notes of appreciaton to others and have them read aloud each morning! Created student presentations and interactive student workshops on how to Speak Up, Stand up and Rise up, self advocating for rights of Dyslexic students
2019-2020-Created a question idea (Quesidea) box for all students to feel free to ask questions or pose ideas to promote student voice for school improvement and although our year and ideas for helping others was cut short due to COVID-19. All students became leaders in Distance Learning this year.
2020-2021-Over Dojo we set up a virtual career day with our students, parents can show students their career skills and role model to help students set short term and long term goals for their future. 4th Grade student Leaders put out a successful petition to all teachers in the building to "keep it cool" and teachers turned down the heat in the classrooms in the afternoon, to conserve energy, keep students from getting overheated and improve mood and working conditions for students. They also started a successful initative for a "Clean Green Team" where student leaders and volunteers everyday pick up extra trash on our playgrounds and fields to assure students and staff have a garbage free school. They voiced their opnions for quality PE to admin, which incorporated them in to PE for next year and were able to secure a grant from the Incline Education Fund for stress relieving squishies for every student in the school. 5th Grade was successeful in their petition when they joined with middle school to change the toilet paper in the school for the future and set up a buddies program that connects Distance Learners and Inperson learners every Monday and Tuesday online for all who want to participate to encourage integration, connection and working together for success. They also were able to come up with Tips for students dealing with Bullys that they used to educate and support student empowerment, coordinate kindness howls to recognize kind acts in peers during our kindness month.
2021-2022- We look forward to mor innovations and improvements to our school with our leaders this year!
