• All students in grades K-5 participate in two music classes per week, where they develop fundamental music skills in areas such as form, pitch, rhythm, and expressive qualities. Students engage in listening, analysis, creation, and response activities, fostering a well-rounded musical education. Pre-K students attend one class per week.

A typical class incorporates vocal instruction, pitch exploration, body percussion, rhythm and pitch reading, movement activities, and instrumental performance. Instruments offered include:

    • Grades K-5: A wide range of Orff instruments, including both pitched and unpitched percussion

    • 4th Grade: Recorder instruction

    • 5th Grade: Bucket drumming, ukulele, violin, trombone, and additional instrumental experiences
