Milly Corneil - Library
Milly Corneil is a dedicated School Librarian with a Librarian Certification from the University of Nevada, Reno, obtained in August 2022. With over 20 years of experience working in school libraries, most of her time has been spent at Incline High School as a library associate. She has also worked at Incline Middle School's library. Milly enjoys swimming, walking, watching movies, and, of course, reading—especially biographies and factual books that feed her passion for lifelong learning. An avid traveler, she loves to explore new places and often visits the Bay Area or other parts of the country when weather permits. Milly is passionate about helping children grow and learn, seeing them as a work in progress. She finds joy in witnessing the excitement in their eyes when things make sense, making her role as a librarian incredibly rewarding.

Stephanie Conroy - Special Education
Stephanie Conroy is a passionate Special Education Teacher with multiple advanced degrees including an MA from California State University, Sacramento, in Early Childhood Education, and an MA in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, earned in 2017. Her enthusiasm for teaching is evident in her commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Stephanie values the collaborative spirit of her community, emphasizing teamwork in support of students and families. Her dedication to education is underscored by her ongoing love for teaching and her proactive approach to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Amber Durk - 1st Grade
Amber Durk is a teacher with a BA in Psychology from Sierra Nevada College and a Masters of Art in Teaching from the University of Nevada, Reno, obtained in 2018 and 2020. She specializes in gifted and talented education and 21st century learning. Durk is involved in the PTA and the home visit team. In her free time, she enjoys riding her quad and baking sourdough. Her favorite aspect of teaching is having the opportunity to observe the growing confidence in her students.

Deanna Guash - Kindergarten
Deanna Guasch is a passionate Kindergarten teacher with a diverse educational background. She holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelors of Science in Business Marketing with a Minor in Journalism, both from the University of Nevada, Reno. Deanna specializes in English Language Acquisition and Development (ELAD), enriching her teaching approach.Deanna's career path includes roles at a Montessori school, substituting at Incline High School, and working in Financial Aid and Marketing at Sierra Nevada College before transitioning to teaching in Washoe County 3 years ago. She actively participates in PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports).Living in Tahoe, Deanna embraces summer activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and paddleboarding. She finds joy in walking her dog, watercolor painting, and making ceramics in her free time. Deanna's greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing her students learn something new and pursue activities they are passionate about.

Liv Hacket - Dean of Students
Liv Hackett, the Dean of Students, is working on her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from UNLV, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from UNR, and a Master of Science in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, as well as two Bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Secondary Education, Social Studies from UNLV. She has an English Language Development Certification from Sierra Nevada and administrative certifications for grades K-6 and 7-12 Social Studies. Hackett started her career teaching 4th grade in Las Vegas, then taught 8th grade geography, English Language Learners at Sparks Middle School, and 5th grade at Smithridge STEM, where she also served as an MTSS Coach and PLC trainer. As the Dean of Students at IES, she is the School Safety Coordinator and a leader in Progressive Discipline and Restorative Practices. In her free time, Hackett enjoys playing board games with her kids, camping, hiking, traveling, and snowboarding, and she loves telling dad jokes. Her favorite part of working at IES is brightening someone's day.

Tracey Hoerth - Counselor
Tracy Hoerth is a dedicated School Counselor at Incline Elementary School, bringing a BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Masters in School Counseling from the University of the Southwest. With six years of experience in counseling, Tracy is deeply passionate about her career, having previously worked in a self-contained program for children with significant behavioral challenges. At IES, Tracy works extensively with fifth graders, implementing the Courage Project—a unique resiliency curriculum aimed at helping students recognize signs of distress and develop resilience strategies. She also facilitates the Student Leadership Team, runs lunch groups, and contributes to the School Safety and Home Visit Teams. Born and raised in Carson City, NV, Tracy enjoys snowboarding, paddleboarding, reading on the beach, and traveling in her free time. She finds immense fulfillment in her role as a school counselor, cherishing the opportunity to work with children at IES. Tracy treasures the joy she receives from her students' smiling faces, their stories, and the heartfelt connections she makes through her work.

Lisa Kelty - ESL
Lisa Keilty is a dedicated English Language Teacher with a BA in Humanities from Sierra Nevada College and a Masters in Literacy from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is also National Board Certified in Elementary Education. Since 1993, Lisa has been enriching the lives of students, spending 29 years at Incline Elementary School. Her career has spanned teaching 2nd grade and 17 years in 1st grade before transitioning to her beloved EL position. Additionally, she holds a Reading Specialist certification from UNR, as well as EL and Gifted and Talented endorsements. Lisa has also coached Girls on the Run. Passionate about her job, she cherishes the time spent with her students, both teaching and learning from them. In her free time, Lisa enjoys hiking with her dogs and gardening. Her favorite aspect of working at IES is fostering classroom discussions around academic content.

Paula Korinek - 2nd Grade
Paula Korinek is a seasoned 2nd-grade teacher at Incline Elementary School, with a strong educational background including a BSEd from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an MAT from Webster University-St. Louis, and a Reading Specialist certification from the University of Nevada, Reno. With 32 years of teaching experience, Paula's career spans various grades and locations, starting from teaching 7th grade in Salem, MO, to 3rd grade in St. Louis before settling into Incline, where she taught 3rd grade for 6 years and 2nd grade for 21 years.At IES, Paula is actively involved as part of the Instructional Leadership Team and serves as the Home Visit Coordinator. Beyond her dedication to education, she supports her church community as the music coordinator and through various activities. In her leisure time, Paula enjoys hiking, practicing Pilates and Yoga, visiting hot springs, swimming, reading, and watching movies. She has a passion for Cowboy Poetry, the Celtic Festival, the Art and Ag Tour, and the Candy Dance. Paula also loves traveling and exploring art museums.Paula finds great joy in witnessing her students' growth into independent and self-motivated individuals who develop their own opinions and show care for others. Her commitment to nurturing her students' development reflects her deep passion for teaching and fostering a supportive learning environment

Trina Kleinhenz - STEM Coordinator / Makerspace
Trina Kleinhenz is a dedicated STEM Coordinator and Makerspace Teacher at Incline Elementary School. She holds a BS in Biology from SDSU and a Masters in Education Technology from CSUF, complemented by endorsements in ESL, Instructional Design, Computer Science, and Gifted and Talented Education. With 16 years of teaching experience, Trina initially taught various grades including Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd before transitioning to her current role.Trina's teaching journey includes positions at North Tahoe School and Colegio Menor de San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. At IES, she developed a robust curriculum for the makerspace, emphasizing STEM and robotics education. Trina also oversees the Robotics Club, fostering hands-on learning experiences for students.Outside of work, Trina enjoys snowboarding, paddleboarding, mountain biking, and camping with her pets. Her favorite part of working at IES is the close-knit community atmosphere, where mutual care and support among staff and students create a nurturing environment.

Limmce Martinez - 4th Grade
Limmce Martinez is a dedicated 4th-grade teacher with a Master's in Elementary Education, which she obtained in 2022. Her teaching career includes experience as both a 2nd-grade and 4th-grade teacher at Mt. Rose Elementary. Limmce is actively involved in the Home Visit Team, highlighting her commitment to building strong connections with her students and their families.Outside of her professional responsibilities, Limmce enjoys spending time with her students and supporting their educational journey.

Megan Matteson - CLS
Megan Matteson is a dedicated Comprehensive Life Skills Teacher with a BA in Sociology from the University of Delaware and an MAT in Special Education from Sierra Nevada College, obtained in 2022. Her career in special education began in 2015 in Wilmington, Delaware, where she grew up and attended college. In 2016, Megan moved to Incline Village, NV, starting as a teacher's assistant at Incline Middle School. After earning her teaching license in 2017, she has been committed to special education ever since. An avid climber, mountain biker, and outdoor enthusiast, Megan spends her summers climbing in Wyoming with her husband. She enjoys being active, spending time with her family, and her cat, Winston. Passionate about her work, Megan loves supporting her amazing students as they grow and develop.

Tara Purinton - 3rd Grade
Tara Purinton is an experienced 3rd-grade teacher with a BFA from the University of Utah and a Masters in Education from Sierra Nevada College, obtained in 2000. She holds TESL and GATE endorsements. With 18 years in education, Tara has spent 12 years as a classroom teacher, one year as a literacy interventionist, and five years as an instructional coach in mathematics. In addition to her teaching role, Tara is a Girls on the Run Coach and a member of the MTSS team. She loves the outdoors and enjoys sharing her passions with her students. An avid skier, mountain biker, and runner, Tara also enjoys camping and being in nature. She is passionate about watching students teach each other and the excitement of learning new things.

Gabriela Ramirez - Bilingual Clerk
Gabriela Ramirez is the IES Bilingual Clerk and received a degree in Biology from the National University of Colombia in 2024. She is involved with the Saberescol foundation, which brings education to children in need, and in her free time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, and spending time with her two dogs, Ramona and Papi. Gabriela's favorite part of working at IES is seeing students happy and being part of a supportive and amazing team.

Shauna Righellis - Music
Shauna Righellis is a dedicated music teacher with a Bachelor and Masters of Music in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno. With a teaching career spanning since 2003, Shauna has enriched the musical lives of students at Sparks Middle School, North Tahoe Middle School, Fort Bragg Middle School, Mendocino Schools, and Creekside Charter School. From 2010 to 2015, she owned and operated the Tahoe Music Institute, a private music studio, which later became part of the Tahoe Truckee School of Music. Shauna joined Incline Elementary in 2020, and started the chorus program in 2023. She is always focused on bringing her passion for music to her students and takes pride in watching them grow as musicians. She loves getting to know all of the students and families in the school, and is also a member of our Home Visit Team. Outside of the classroom, Shauna enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, reading, and camping.

Rosalia Ruiz - PreK Assistant
Rosalia Ruiz serves as a dedicated PreK Aide, bringing her passion for making a difference in students' lives to Incline Elementary School. She began her journey in education after volunteering in the PreK program for her own children. Since joining the school in 2020, Rosalia has found great fulfillment in her role, relishing the opportunity to positively impact students each day.Outside of work, Rosalia enjoys going on hikes, dancing, and spending quality time with her children. She finds immense joy in her job, knowing that she contributes to the educational and personal growth of the young learners at IES.

Jan B. Rumball (Ms. B) - Kindergarten
Jan B. Rumball is a dedicated Kindergarten teacher with a BA in Elementary Education from Ohio State University and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, obtained in 1990. With 38 years of experience in education, Jan has taught across various grades including Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, and Fifth. Living and working in Incline Village, Jan finds great joy in her community and takes pleasure in encountering her former students around the village. She has a passion for pottery, reading, hiking, snowshoeing, and gardening, activities that complement her love for the natural beauty surrounding her. Jan thrives on the magic of working with young children, fondly referring to them as "little people." She cherishes the enchantment of their innocence and the wonder they bring to her daily experiences.

Leslie Saxe - PreK Teacher
Leslie Saxe is an experienced Early Childhood Educator with a BA in International Studies from the University of Washington and K-8 and ECE teaching credentials from Sierra Nevada College and various community colleges, with WCSD masters equivalency. Since 1998, Leslie has brought a wealth of educational experience, including ski instruction, exhibit coordination at the Kidzone, and teaching PreK through second grade. An Adult English Teacher as well, Leslie has been an active member of the same book club for over 20 years. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family skiing, camping, paddling, and playing tennis, often accompanied by her chocolate lab. Passionate about creativity and play, Leslie finds teaching PreK to be a fun and rewarding experience, integrating both into her daily routine.

Steve Wartman - 5th Grade
Steve Wartman is a seasoned 5th-grade teacher with a BA from CSU Fullerton and an MEd in Elementary Curriculum from Cal Poly Pomona. He began his teaching career in 1992 and has since amassed 36 years of experience, with 30 of those years dedicated to Incline Elementary. Originally coming from a background in electronics and computer engineering, Steve brings a unique perspective to his classroom. He enjoys foreign travel, hiking, and bike riding. Steve's passion for teaching is fueled by the energy and creativity his students bring, which he credits for keeping him young and inspired.

Stephen Wiggs - 3rd Grade
Stephen Wiggs is a seasoned 3rd-grade classroom teacher with a BA in Anthropology from Sonoma State University and two master's degrees—one in Administration and another in Education—from Sierra Nevada College. Since 2013, he has brought 21 years of teaching experience to his role, including a two-year stint as a Literacy Specialist. His career includes 10 years of teaching in Reno and 11 years at Incline Elementary School. In addition to his teaching duties, Stephen has been the Read with Me Coordinator for four years and a facilitator for reading clubs for three of the last four years. Before his teaching career, he spent 16 years working as a cook and chef. Outside the classroom, Stephen is an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoys hiking, biking, and swimming around the lake. He values the strong community at IES and takes pride in his contributions to it.

Aundria Williams - 2nd Grade
Aundria Williams is a dedicated 2nd-grade teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Holding a Gifted and Talented Endorsement and a 21st Century Learning certification, she is committed to enriching her teaching practice. Over her eight-year teaching career, Aundria has enjoyed working with kindergarten, first, and second grade, finding the primary years to be a fascinating period in young students' lives. After three years of teaching in Reno, she joined Incline Elementary School, where she focuses on integrating gifted and talented instruction into her classroom. Aundria is also involved in extracurricular roles as a Read with Me Facilitator and SOS Teacher Coordinator. Residing in Incline Village with her nine-year-old daughter, Nyelli, who is entering fourth grade, Aundria loves hiking, traveling, photographing, and reading in her spare time. She enjoys snowboarding, paddleboarding, and spending time at the beach. Aundria values the strong community connection at IES, where she cherishes the close relationships with families and the joyful interactions with students both in and out of school.
