Attendance Information
How to Report Your Student's AbsencePlease call Front Office phone: (775) 626-5250 opt. 1Notify us each day that your student is absent. Each absence from school must be reported to the office by a parent/guardian, as required by state law.All messages regarding absences should be directed to the Front Office rather than to your Student's teacher(s). You may certainly notify the teacher(s), but it is in the Front Office that all record-keeping takes place.Upon returning to school, the student should bring a note to the office before school starts explaining the date and reason for the absence. It is the responsibility of the student to get all make-up work from his/her teachers. An absence is an absence. A student is simply considered present or absent. The reason for the absence will no longer be considered. It should be noted that parents/guardians must send a note or call the school regarding any absence.MAKE-UP WorkWhen a student is absent it is his/her responsibility to request make-up work directly from the teachers. Students are given one day to make-up the work they missed for every day they are absent. Please see Board Policy for homework here:
