    WELCOME BACK HUSKIES!!!

Welcome to the 24-25 school year at Hidden Valley Elementary School, home of the Huskies! We have been busy all summer preparing classrooms, organizing materials, and planning for changes this year. This year, we are committed and determined to make your students' Hidden Valley experience memorable and enriching. Our highly qualified and talented teachers are ready to offer a rigorous academic curriculum intertwined with social-emotional learning.  We will continue to use the district's adopted curriculums. Benchmark Advance English Language Arts curriculum is taught in grades K-5. For Math, Bridges is taught in grades K-1 and enVision in grades 2-5. The Science and Social Studies curriculum is blended within the English Language Arts curriculum as well as hand-on activities and stand-alone lessons targeted on specific topics.  Most of the Science and Social Studies curriculum comes from FOSS (Science) and Project Tahoe (Social Studies). If you would like further information, please contact your child's teacher. All curriculum resources are aligned to the Nevada Academic Content Standards.
