"The mission of Taylor Elementary School is to create a safe learning
community that ensures high academic achievement, personal success, civic
responsibility, and the fulfillment of higher educational goals for all of ourstudents!"Dear Taylor Gator Families,
Hello and welcome to the 2017-18 school year! I am excited to return to Alyce Taylor and honored to be your new principal. Alyce Taylor is a place I call home. In 2010-2012, I served as the Dean of Students at Taylor, which started my educational leadership experience. I then became the Assistant Principal at Spanish Springs Elementary where I have been for the past five years. In 2015, I served as Interim Principal at Taylor for the first half of the school year. Now as principal, I have come full circle and ended up exactly where I was meant to be, right here at Alyce Taylor.
Alyce Taylor Elementary School stands proud of its rich school traditions, a culture of academic excellence, high expectations, a safe, respectful environment, and an emphasis on kids-first decisions. I am committed to building a positive school environment where staff members, students, and families are engaged and motivated to come to school each day. I am excited to announce our school-wide theme this year:
Think, Do, Be Positive
(Think Positive, Do Positive, Be Positive)
This positive, growth-mindset is a powerful message to our students that will teach them to shift their thinking to a more positive outlook. In doing so, our students develop a positive attitude, creating positive relationships with others, believing in themselves, building confidence and resiliency, ultimately bringing positivity in their lives which will help them become successful individuals.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. I believe in a strong school-home partnership and communication in order to help our students succeed.
It’s going to be a positively wonderful year!
