    Our 5th grade leadership students in “Make A Difference” will be selling candy grams during conference week. We will be located in front of the office. Candy grams will be $2 a piece and you can choose from a variety of 5 options. Send your child a candy gram with a special note or send one to your child’s friend! We will be delivering candy grams on Monday, October 31st. Funds will go towards our leadership account. Come and support our school and students! If you have any questions, see Mrs. Ramirez.

    Gopher Day 

    Gopher Day is THIS SUNDAY! September 25th from 11am to 3pm. We hope you have your weekend planned to include some Roy Gomm carnival fun! This is your last week to BUY TICKETS for $25 with online sales closing Friday night at 8pm. Tickets will be available at the gate for $30 when the event begins at 11am.
    There are still volunteer opportunities to make this event a success! Please check out the PARENT SIGN UP and STUDENT SIGN UP to see where you or your older children can lend a hand. We can’t say thank you enough to all the volunteers who have so readily made themselves available for our first big school event. It takes a village and nothing compares to the one we have here at Roy Gomm! Go Gophers!  


    Upcoming Events: 

                      Guidance lessons, Child Assault Prevention and Better Safe than Sorry- September 12th - 23rd. If you would NOT like your child to participate, email the counselor. 

    Our 5th grade Garden Club will be holding a seed and flower sale Friday morning (9/23) before school.  We are trying to raise money to buy a shade tree for our community garden. Seed packets will be $2 apiece, or 3 for $5. Flower arrangements will be $5-$10. We will only be able to accept cash or check please.

    Please be vigilant about handwashing and keeping your student home when they are experiencing symptoms of illness. We are not excluding people who have been exposed to a positive person.  Information from the CDC is always changing, use the screening tool, posted on the WCSD website,  if your child has symptoms of illness. This webpage has the most up-to-date information about exposure and quarantine.

This covers everything inside the event other than food which can be packed in or purchased at one of the several food trucks that will be on campus. Don't wait! Solidify your plans for Sunday, September 25th and BUY NOW!
    If you are wanting to help with Gopher Day but aren't sure with what, check out SIGNUP GENIUS. There are so many opportunities for parents and even students to get involved and make the fun happen so click the link or contact Masooma Ali at mzahraali@gmail.com with your volunteering questions!
    Lastly, as we get excited for our first Gopher Day in 2 years, students will have the opportunity to participate in a Gopher Day Coloring/Drawing/Writing contest based on their grade level. Look for the entry sheets and further instructions to come home in backpacks tomorrow. Entries are due Monday, September 12th. Winners from every grade will win lunch with Mrs. Barker, Ms. McKibben or Ms. Argueta. GOOD LUCK to all participants!

    All persons inside of a school building including staff, students and visitors must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.  

    Mask shall not be required for lunch time, fun time

    recess activities.
