Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome to Mount Rose K-8 Academy of Languages!  We look forward to a year full of success and accomplishments! Our main goal is to educate every child to his or her full potential.  For our returning students, it is great to see you again.  For our new students, we are confident you will soon feel comfortable and successful in your new school.

 Mount Rose K-8 School has been providing quality education to the students of Washoe County for over 100 years!. Our staff is dedicated to providing a learning environment that is positive, challenging, supportive, and one that will offer every child the opportunity to succeed as well as introduce them to other languages and cultures. Our calendar is designed to serve as an introduction to Mount Rose School, share information regarding school policies and activities, as well as important dates so that you will better understand our school and hopefully attend or volunteer for activities as much as possible.  It is hoped that when you read our calendar with your child you will each attain a better understanding of Mount Rose School.

 A child’s education does not begin or end at school.  Every waking moment is a learning experience of some kind.  The majority of educational experience takes place in the home or at school, and is most successful when everyone is actively involved.  Communication between home and school is essential.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.  We are a team and we need to work together so we can help your child become successful in reaching maximum development each year.
