• The Nevada COVID Call Center is now able to support the needs of residents related to testing and therapeutic services, as well as vaccine schedules.

    This number is 1(800) -401-0946 and is open between 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. All services are free to the residents. The newest services the state is offering include free therapy for pre-exposure prophylaxis for those residents who qualify, as well as medication for those individuals who test positive for COVID and may be at risk for severe disease. It is extremely important that residents call to get a telehealth visit as soon as possible after symptoms start. Oral antiviral medications may be another option for them ( it must occur within 3 days of symptom onset). 

     

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • Several community partners provide COVID-19 vaccination opportunities for students, staff, and the community. 

    Currently, there are no plans to require vaccines for students or staff.

    To access COVID-19 vaccines, visit Immunize Nevada to find the closest location to obtain the vaccine. https://www.immunizenevada.org/covid-19-vaccine-locator. They also offer a hotline, 1-800-401-0946, to speak with a person between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. 

    You can also visit https://covid19washoe.com/community-vaccine-schedule/ for additional community vaccination clinics hosted by the Washoe County Health District. 

    Catch-up Vaccines, COVID, and Flu Clinic on May 6 and  May 26 at the Boys & Girls Club on 2680 E. 9th St. for children that need to get their vaccines for school next year.  Free immunizations and transportation are available.

    Clínica ponte al corriente con tus vacunas se ofrecerá dos fechas, él viernes 6 de mayo y él jueves 26 de mayo con vacunas disponibles para estudiantes.  Las vacunas son gratis y también ofrecen transporte.

COVID-19 Vaccination Points of Distribution (PODs)

  • In partnership with the Washoe County Health District (WCHD) and the Community Health Alliance (CHA), the Washoe County School District (WCSD) is hosting COVID-19 Vaccination Points of Distribution (PODs) to provide free COVID-19 vaccines to children 5 to 11 years old.

    These vaccination clinics will take place at various school sites after school hours and only offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5 to 11 years old.  Two doses are required, three weeks apart.  A parent or legal guardian must accompany all children to receive the vaccine. 

    In partnership with Immunize Nevada, Community Health Alliance will be offering FREE Pfizer COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines for children and family members 5+.

    Vaccinations are always offered to all who want the vaccine, regardless of immigration status or insurance.

    En colaboración con el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Washoe (WCHD, y Community Health Alliance (CHA) el Distrito Escolar del Condado de Washoe (WCSD) esta ofreciendo puntos de distribución de vacunas (PODs) para ofrecer vacunas contra COVID-19 gratis para niños de 5 a 11 años.

    Estas clinicas de vacunación se realizarán en diferentes escuelas después de clases y unicamente ofrecerá la vacuna de Pfizer COVID-19 para niños de 5 a 11 años.  Se requieren dos dosis, en tres semanas.  Un padre o tutor legal debe acompañar a todos los niños que recibirán la vacuna. 

    En colaboración con Immunize Nevada y Community Health Alliance se ofrecerá la vacuna de Pfizer contra COVID-19 gratis, para menores de 5 años y mayores.
