Colleen Westlake, District B

Trustee Colleen Westlake began her term in January 2023 representing District B, which is comprised of Sun Valley and areas of Sparks.  District B includes 25 schools.

 

Trustee Westlake is a 5th generation Nevadan and graduated from Wooster High School and attended the University of Nevada, Reno as well as Fullerton Junior College.  She is passionate about kids and has taught dance and coached different sports.  She and her husband of 30+ years have raised three boys who have all graduated from college and are successful contributors to their community.  Colleen and Glyn were both very involved in their children's schooling and athletics.

 

Trustee Westlake has been working in the dental field for over 30 years and welcomes the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in Washoe County schools.  She plans to work tirelessly to form an alliance between families and teachers as she believes they have the biggest impact on student success.
