Adam Mayberry, District F

Trustee Mayberry Family Photo

“With my daughters by my side, the journey of family is the greatest story ever told.  With each new horizon, the mission grows stronger: to serve our families and community, forging a brighter future for generations to come.”

Trustee Adam Mayberry began his term as trustee in November 2021 representing At-Large District F, which is comprised of the eastern part of the WCSD. He was unanimously appointed by the Board of Trustees to fill the vacant District F seat.  He was elected in November 2022 to a four-year term.

Trustee Mayberry is a native Nevadan who has worked for the City of Sparks and currently serves as the Communications Manager and Public Information Officer for Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. He earned his undergraduate degree in business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, and a master’s degree in political science at the University of Nevada, Reno. His career has focused on public administration, communications, public information, and legislative affairs, with a strong focus on crisis communications and building relationships at all levels of government.

Trustee Mayberry has a lifelong calling and commitment to public service in Nevada, as demonstrated in his personal and professional experience. He is the parent of two students who graduated from the District in 2025 after attending Pre-K through 12th grade, and he understands the importance of the WCSD educational mission. He wants to serve as a voice for the parents and guardians of students with different academic levels and disabilities to ensure that these children are embraced and accommodated, providing the opportunity for all children to earn a quality education in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

His service in our community includes serving as a trustee on the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board and teaching political science at Truckee Meadows Community College. He has also taught cooperative extension classes on public participation/involvement and community outreach. He has served as a Big Brother and counselor for Junior Achievement, to name a few.

Mayberry is looking forward to collaborating with his fellow trustees to provide support for the entire District family. He also looks forward to working in concert with the community and gathering input as he navigates the role of school board trustee. He is honored to have the opportunity and responsibility to serve in this capacity.

Trustee Mayberry welcomes constituent communication and feedback. Please feel free to contact him with your thoughts or concerns at any time.
