Distance Learning Information

Welcome to Distance Learning @ Anderson

We begin student material pick this week. Here is the schedule.

We continue to focus on connecting with our students and families weekly. To help families support thier students, our teachers and staff provide schedules of weekly activities and target assignments as Must-Do and May Do. It is our goal to increase the number of assignments turned in and percentage of students particiapting in academic activities to 100%.

To successfully achieve this goal, we ask out commuity to support our students:

  • Setting a “school day schedule” for your child. Have your child wake up at consistent time and ensure they work on their school for at specific times. School work should take between 2.5 and 4 hours a day. This includes Video Meetings. Write down the teacher’s meeting schedule and do your best to have your child attend.
  • Check that your child is doing the work. Every child is assigned a “Must-Do” and a “May-Do.” Please have them complete all assignments. At any time, if one task is more difficult and time-consuming, prioritize getting the “Must-Dos” done first. If there is extra time, your child can go back in the packet to complete tasks that are incomplete or improve work, following teacher feedback.
  • If you have other concerns or needs, please let your child’s teacher know and we will work to help you.

In addition to the WCSD Distance Learning Page, we have created a distance learning page for Anderson so you know that we are here to help and support you and your family through learning from home.
