Vaughn Middle School Groundbreaking
What: The Washoe County School District (WCSD) invites the community to participate in the groundbreaking event for the rebuild project at Vaughn Middle School. This is the first project approved as part of the district’s Facility Modernization Plan (FMP).
Vaughn Middle School – which was built in 1956 – will be rebuilt next to the existing school. Construction will begin next month and the new school is scheduled to open in August 2026 with state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities for staff and students.
The old building will then be demolished, and new athletic fields will be constructed and ready for use in 2027.

Details: To attend this event, please enter through the gate on the northwest side of the school grounds near the main school entrance on Bresson Avenue. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited street parking.
