In 2017, more than 8,700 people attended and 90 schools participated, including charter schools. There were 3,984 runners and proceeds from sponsorships provided a $2,000 Kids in Motion grant to 55 schools to fund physical education and nutrition activities, impacting nearly 30,000 elementary school-aged children.
