Community Invited as WCSD Breaks Ground on
Expansion of Damonte Ranch High School
What: The Washoe County School District will break ground on a 22-classroom expansion of Damonte Ranch High School. This is the first capital project made possible by the passage of WC-1.
Today (Tuesday, March 14) is the final day to register for free tickets, which reserve seats at the event. Tickets are available at www.wcsdbuilding.com.
When: Thursday, March 16
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Damonte Ranch High School
10500 Rio Wrangler Way
Details: Damonte Ranch High School is one of our fastest-growing and most overcrowded high schools. This much-needed expansion will provide needed space to accommodate Damonte Ranch High School students, and is scheduled for completion during the 2017-18 school year.
This is a celebration of the tireless efforts of our community in providing for funding to support the education of the children of Washoe County now and in the future.
Editors’ Note: WCSD Trustees, Superintendent Traci Davis, WCSD Admin staff, community leaders, students, and teachers will make brief presentations during this ceremony. Trustees, staff members, and students will be available for interviews following the presentations.
