A message from the Superintendent regarding SafeVoice Reporting System
SafeVoice Reporting System
The Nevada Department of Education, under Senate Bill 212, established an anonymous reporting system to encourage students to report school and student safety concerns. By launching SafeVoice Nevada, the state has created a resource available through a hotline number (833-216-7233), a website (www.safevoicenv.org), and a mobile app. This platform is a quick, safe, and responsible way to let a team of professionals know about concerns or threats to student safety. Reports can be made any time of day and any day of the week. By utilizing this reporting system, WCSD is working to protect student wellness, prevent violence, and save lives. As Superintendent, it is important to me that we promote safety and well-being for all children in our schools. Please be aware that this reporting source does not meet Mandatory Reporting requirements for abuse and neglect and is not a substitute for a bullying investigation or suicide protocol. We all must continue to follow these important procedures. This SafeVoice tool is, however, a helpful anonymous tip system that is available for our students.
