These are unprecedented times that required teachers, students, and families to embrace an entirely new way of teaching and learning with little time to prepare. Our efforts have been to reinforce previously covered materials, which will help students transition into the next school year.
For the second phase of Distance Learning we have introduced new learning that included an opportunity for students in grades 3 – 12 to raise their grades by working closely with their teacher by doing make-up work and show improved mastery.
The third phase of distance learning, which begins on Monday May 11, and goes through the end of the year, will include slightly more new material than the second. As we plan for the transition back to school buildings in the fall, we will develop support plans and resources to help our students have academic success next school year.
