Andrea Sullivan has been named the 2025-26 Central Office Professional-Technical Administrator of the Year by the Nevada Association of School Administrators. Sullivan, who serves as Senior Director of Supply Chain Management has worked for WCSD for 18 years. She is responsible for ensuring that the district's 59,000 students and 8,000 staff members have the materials they need to teach, learn, and work every day in WCSD schools and offices.

Sullivan has worked for WCSD for 18 years in procurement and was applauded for her dedication to innovation and integrity in her work. Her employees describe her as a “fearless mentor” who is an inspiration to the entire team and praised her dedication to the district’s work on behalf of its students and families.

“I am truly honored and humbled to receive this award,” said Sullivan. “This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of the entire Purchasing Department, as well as the support of the staff and students we serve each day. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to those who nominated me and to NASA for bestowing this honor. I am grateful.”

“As public servants, we are dedicated to using every taxpayer dollar with the greatest possible efficiency and effectiveness,” said WCSD Chief Financial Officer Mark Mathers, who presented Sullivan with her award. “Our employees are responsible for researching, reviewing, and processing every procurement for goods and services that are crucial for teaching, learning, and working in our district, from books and school supplies to construction bids for new school buildings, repairs, and modernization projects that provide state-of-the-art learning spaces for our students. Andrea’s outstanding leadership is crucial to our team’s success, and we are grateful that her efforts have been acknowledged with this award.”
