WCSD Board of Trustees Meeting Update

At the public meeting of the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday, August 25, the Board will hear only items that are time sensitive and will move other agenda items to future public meetings for consideration. The Board is taking this action due to the continuing impacts of the Hawk Fire, acknowledging that many members of the community may not be able to attend the meeting and provide input due to evacuations, power outages, and other circumstances.

At the August 25 meeting, Board members are still scheduled to vote on items included in the consent agenda, and will discuss Item 3.04, a presentation and for possible action regarding the Doral Academy of Northern Nevada’s request for amendment of its charter contract. Item 3.04 is time sensitive, as the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) has requested comments and input from WCSD no later than Tuesday, September 8. Today’s meeting is the last scheduled for the WCSD Board of Trustees before that deadline.
