    About Us

The North Valleys High School Band Program is comprised of the Panther Marching Band, two concert bands, and a percussion ensemble. In the fall, the Panther Marching Band rehearses several times each week to learn multiple field shows to perform at football games and other athletic events, as well as a full repertoire of songs to play during timeouts and breaks in play. The marching band takes their field show to many local and out-of-state contests to compete against other marching bands. In the winter and spring, Winter Guard and Winter Drumline programs are formed to advance the skills of our colorguard and percussion students, as well as students interested in trying guard and drumline. As members of the band, students learn the value of work ethic, discipline, pride, and teamwork. The band is comprised of a diverse student population including athletes, ROTC cadets, student leadership, and many other ethnic and academic groups.

The band performs at all home football and basketball games, local parades, school concerts, middle and elementary school functions, as well as events in the community. The band also travels to out of state competitions to represent the Washoe County School District and the Reno/Sparks area.
