Meet the Newest Huskies
Welcome to our newest Huskies!
Mr. Kivi - Social Studies
I am so excited for this opportunity to teach at Reno High. I am class of '01 alum and UNR graduate. I have been a part of the Reno wrestling coaching staff for the past eighteen years. My family and I are constantly on the move, involved in numerous outdoor activities depending on the season. I look forward to working with and meeting the entire RHS staff and students over the next several months.
Mr. Albrecht - Counseling
Hi, to the Reno High community. My name is Matt Albrecht and I am excited to join the Reno High counseling team for the upcoming school year. I'm in my 11th year as a school counselor and I'm coming over from Reed High. I live with my family in the Reno High zone. When not at work, we are often out enjoying the outdoors. I look forward to getting to know and working with staff, students, and families of Reno High. Stay well during these difficult times.
Mrs. Robison - Math
I am thrilled at the opportunity to join #huskiestrong at Reno High School. I look forward to joining the rockstar Math department and being part of this community. My family loves to be outdoors, traveling, and enjoying all types of music. I look forward to meeting the staff, parents, and students in the upcoming months. I hope you are all healthy and doing well.
Ms. Briggs - Math
I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with the amazing math team at Reno High! I am an alumni of Reno High School and am a recent graduate of UNR through the Nevada Teach program. When I'm not in the classroom, I spend my time outside taking pictures, camping, and playing with my pets. I look forward to being a Huskie again and meeting all of the students at Reno High.
Ms. Hamlin - Varsity Cheer Coach
My name is Debbie Hamlin and I have been part of the Reno High family for many years having a daughter who graduated in 2014, another daughter in 2016, and my son graduating this year. I currently teach 3rd grade and will be teaching 5th grade in the fall. I grew to love coaching cheer when I coached my daughter while she was on SYFL and I have enjoyed watching her take cheer beyond high school as a 4th year UNR cheerleader. I believe that cheer helps build confidence and promotes an active lifestyle while being an important part of the spirit in our schools. I look forward to a great year!
Mr. Phillips - Site Facilities Coordinator
My name is Rodney. I have two sones, Tristan (8) and Jonathan (4) whom I spend most of my time with. We love to go fishing and hiking/exploring. I have been with the school district for 7 years, a supervisor for 5 of those years. I can't wait to work with all of you.
Mr. Jamieson - Head Groundskeeper
I am a Reno High alum along with my wife and 3 of my 6 children. I have 19 grandchildren. I played basketball at Reno High and went on to play in college. I am a competitive waterskier. My passions are my family, waterskiing, any outdoor activity but especially if it involves being in the mountains. For the past 7 years, I have taken care of all outdoor spaces on the RHS campus. I take great pride in this school and its heritage.
Mrs. Edwards - Curriculum Assistant Principal
Hi again! I am beyond excited to be returning to Reno High after a year at another high school as an Assistant Principal. I have been a Reno Huskie for many years now-as a previous student, former teacher (English and Student Leadership), and Dean. I am looking forward to reconnecting with the phenomenal staff, amazing students and families, and the Reno High community as a whole. My family includes my husband Mike, our son Kane, and daughter Bianca. Our family is happy to be back with the Reno High family. Go Huskies!
