    Welcome to Mr. Tatomer's webpage.

This website will have information to help parents and students throughout the year.

     Curriculum:

    We will be investigating:

    - Earth and Space Sciences (lunar phases, seasons, solar system)

-Physical Science (waves, energy (kinetic and potential), forces and interactions) Our physical science unit will be encompassed with a unit called Project Recharge.

    - Earth and Human Activity (Population and natural resources)

    - Biological Evolution (variation, natural selection and adaptations, and heredity).

    Materials:

A composition notebook will be used to respond and reflect through writing.  A 3 ring avery style folder is also acceptable.

    Expectation:

I expect all students to come to class on time, prepared to learn, with the appropriate classroom materials, and to be a positive part of the classroom environment.

If a student is absent they are responsible for communicating with the teacher about what they missed. Please inform the teacher of any pre-arranged absences so education materials may be given ahead of time. Please be mindful that your student is learning each and every day and schedule any planned vacations during their breaks.  Good attendance leads to a good education.

    Grading Policy:

Classwork (45%) - Labs, journals, pretty much anything done during class that isn't an assessment.

Assessments (45%) - Tests, quizzes, projects

Homework (10%) - Very little will be given over the course of the year.  Some classwork may come home that needs to be finished though.

In Infinite Campus you will find a list of all assignments, quizzes, assessment (exams) and finals.

If you find anything else you would like added to the website, please let me know.

    Thank you
