Kindergarten Registration

Register for the 2027-2028 School Year

Each school year, families must complete the Online registration for all their students. Online registration will open on October 19, 2026, for the 2027-28 school year.

Minimum Age Requirement

The 2023 Nevada Legislature changed the Kindergarten age guidelines for all public schools. Children must be five years of age on or before August 1 of that year.

The following information will help you prepare to register your child in the Washoe County School District.

The Online Registration System is available in English & Spanish. Parents can complete registration at home or contact their child's zone school for school registration dates and hours.

Existing Student

Please use the Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to complete online registration for families who have students currently attending the WCSD and have a new incoming student.

Kindergarten and New to District

Families who have an incoming kindergarten or a new student and DO NOT have another student currently attending the WCSD please complete online registration by using the link below.

Immunization Guidelines for 2026-2027

Incoming kindergarten students must have current immunizations to start school and new students in grades K-12th. Additionally, students entering 7th grade need to complete specific immunization requirements before they start school. Review the link below for more information about the immunization requirements. General immunization information is also available by calling the Health District at 775-328-2441.

Access to vaccination records is also available through WebIZ, a confidential online system in the State of Nevada that keeps track of immunization records.

Families can obtain vaccines for their children through their family healthcare provider or by participating in community clinics.

Proof of Address

Documents accepted for proof of residency are at the principal's discretion.

Examples of what may be accepted are:

You must bring one of the following:

Car insurance
Car registration
Mortgage Agreement
Pay stub
Rent receipt
Residence Lease or Sales Contract
Utility bill

Any bills, insurance, pay stubs, receipts or lease agreements must be dated within the previous 12 months from the time of enrollment.

Note: If you only have a residence lease or sales contract for a future date, as proof of address, the school will register your child on the condition that one additional proof of address from the above list is submitted within 30 days.
