Kindergarten Registration

Register for the 2026-2027 School Year

Each school year, families must complete the online registration for all their students. Online registration will open on November 1, 2025 for the 2026-27 school year.  Please use the Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to complete online registration for families who have students currently attending the WCSD and have an incoming student.

Age Requirement

The 2023 Nevada Legislature changed the Kindergarten age guidelines for all public schools. Children must be five years of age on or before August 1 of that year.

Registration Documents

Kindergarten students or new students will be considered registered when the following steps have been completed:

1. Parent/guardian completes online registration
2. Parent/guardian provides the following documents to their zoned school.
   1. The student's original birth certificate
   2. The student’s current immunization record is from a healthcare provider.  Find out the immunization requirements.
   3. Proof of residence such as a utility bill showing the parent's name and address

The I’m Ready guide was created to support children moving from preschool to kindergarten. Both parents and preschool teachers can use I’m Ready to share examples of Nevada’s Pre-K standards that children have mastered as well as areas where they might need more support. It is our hope that the guidebook will help parents and preschool teachers work together to support children in developing the skills they need to be ready for kindergarten.
