Jwood Raw ES Emergency Planning

Emergency planning is an essential part of keeping students, staff, and families safe, and it is a priority for the Washoe County School District. Each year, the District’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) Review Committee reviews and updates emergency preparedness guidance to reflect best practices and lessons learned. The committee then develops a standardized planning template that each school uses to create its own Emergency Operations Plan for each school year. This process ensures that every school has a comprehensive, consistent, and school-specific plan in place to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies, while keeping student safety at the center of all planning efforts. All required elements have been included and follow NRS 388.229 – 388.261.
