The Cougar Battalion is a place for advancement through our classes and competitive sports. In the Cougar battalion, there are many paths cadets may take. We have opportunity for growth throughout the battalion via our rifle team, drill team, drone team and our raider team. Our goal is to motivate young people to be better citizens, that isn’t to enlist you into the military, however it is to enlist you into being a better person and helping foster a better understanding and strength within any community and to provide a strong impact on people’s lives in a positive manner.
To start we have our Raider team. To go more into depth, we have multiple different opportunities for both males and females to advance physically and get stronger with their bonds as a team. Our male team will be flying to raider nationals and competing against strong opponents in Kentucky as well as challenging the local teams. Our female team is also doing a good job at bettering their abilities physically and mentally through growth through challenge and becoming a good team with strong bonds to each other. This goes for every single member of the team we all find a way to get along and foster strong relations between each other and build powerful synchronization when it comes to event completion and competitive helpfulness to each other
Drill team is the team where our cadets compete via coordination in a military manner. Drill team competes regionally and nationally due to our skill and ability of coordination and strong commands through leadership in this team our cadets are able to foster ideas come up with their own routine but also follow through on designated routines and learn specific movements and positions where they need to follow through to succeed most prominently our drill team is nationally recognized and has travelled to Daytona Beach Florida.
Our drone team is starting this year and although it has not technically started there is strong opportunity for growth due to our beginnings, and everyone likes an underdog story as most people say. Our drone team already consists of four teams and captains including that of varsity and JV where our students and cadets will be able to grow through fostered communications and abilities.
Our rifle team is a team that has fostered understanding and is nationally recognized as one of the best teams in the nation our rifle team does lots of traveling although not always paid for completely by the army it is recognized heavily by the army and has strong opportunities for growth and competitive nature within the team. Rifle consistently travels to Utah and Ohio to take on regional and national competitions respectively.
As a battalion we are excited to improve ourselves and each other and provide a baseline for following years to go from and allow the program to prosper.
