This is the Lancer Battalion’s 42nd year!

Fun Fact: The McQueen HS JROTC program is a vibrant group of 115 Cadets with strong community ties, partnering with VFW, UNR, nursing homes, Red Kettle Banquet, Reno Livestock events, local middle schools, and participating in community service projects like food drives, parades, and charity fundraisers. Our Cadets have showcased their skills and team spirit by excelling in Raider, Rifle, Drone, Drill, Color Guard, Orienteering, Leadership, Drill Competition, and Physical Fitness events.

They also take part in drill team performances, marksmanship, and McQueen safety patrols. With a diverse range of interests—from varsity athletes in soccer, rugby, wrestling, and football to cheerleaders, choir members, band students, and honor society members—the McQueen Cadet Corps is poised to grow beyond 150 Cadets in just two years, making it one of the most dynamic, well-rounded, and exciting programs around!
