The 2026–2027 school year marks a dynamic new chapter for McQueen High School JROTC as the Lancer Battalion continues to empower young people to better prepare for life after high school. Through a balanced focus on leadership development, physical fitness, problem-solving, and communication skills instruction, the program gives cadets the tangible tools needed to succeed in any post-secondary path they choose. McQueen cadets sharpen their discipline, teamwork, and technical precision through a diverse array of competitive teams, including Rifle, Drone, Drill, and Raider programs. Beyond competition, the battalion demonstrates a deep dedication to community service, actively partnering with the Salvation Army to support local families and give back to the region. Whether navigating complex challenges on the Raider course, mastering drone technology, or volunteering in the community, Lancer cadets consistently strive for excellence and self-improvement. By fostering strong character, accountability, and service, the McQueen HS JROTC program sets a high standard for student growth—building confident leaders ready to tackle the future. Go Lancers!
