The 2025-2026 school year is an exciting time for Damonte Ranch to build upon their ever-growing tradition of excellence and citizen development! As our recruitment numbers continue to rise, our unwavering dedication to our country and communities has been greater than ever before. The Mustangs have logged hundreds of community service hours, contributing to a multitude of service projects focused on their local community and within their school. Recently, the Mustangs have been participating in Raider Team competitions across Northern Nevada and are the 2x 3rd Place Male Varsity Tire Flip holders. Furthermore, the Mustang cadets are looking forward to an exhilarating season on the Drones Team. Last year in Mississippi, our Drones Team took home Overall Navy National Champions, west coast overall drone champions, and Best Communication Award. For new beginnings, the Orienteering Team has been reinstated in the Mustang Battalion and is competing regularly with the Carson City High School NJROTC Senators with hope to make regionals this upcoming year. Also, the Academics Team made it to the 2nd level of JLAB but were stopped in their tracks. This year, the academics team plans to go all the way to nationals for JLAB. The unit encourages every cadet to be the best they can be while simultaneously training and promoting leadership, good citizenship and service. They are celebrating a twelve-year unbroken streak of 100% four-year cadet graduation rate. Damonte Ranch Navy JROTC now sets the standard for cultivating a culture of excellence, service and academic excellence. This year, no doubt, holds new levels of achievement for the Mustang Battalion in STEM, physical fitness, competition and academia. Go Mustangs!
