Joint Mission Statement: To motivate young people to be citizens of character by instilling in them a sense of personal responsibility, accomplishment and the importance of serving their nation and community.
Welcome to JROTC
This 2025-2026 school year marks the 110th year of the JROTC program and the 34th year of the Silver State Brigade. This brigade consists of one Air Force, two Navy, and eight Army JROTC programs. These programs are designed to teach cadets the necessary skills to become respectful, responsible, and productive members of society and successful leaders. Our goals as a Brigade include encouraging teamwork and communication between all eleven schools, increasing awareness of the JROTC program through community service and public events, as well as ensuring all Cadets succeed academically and enjoy being a part of the program. All Cadets play a part in achieving these goals and all Cadets are of equal importance when it comes to the success and positive image of the JROTC program. With motivation and dedication, the Silver State Brigade will live up to the high standard our predecessors have maintained and continue our legacy as the Best in the West!

WCSD JROTC cadets proudly represented their schools and communities at the annual Reno Veterans Day Parade, marching in honor of those who have served our nation.
