Standard Substitute License Requirements

If you have 60 or more college credits or an Associate’s degree or higher, you will apply for a Standard Substitute License.

To apply, you must create an account with the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) through the online licensure portal, OPAL.

After submitting your licensure application with NDE, you are required to complete the fingerprinting process. Please note that this fingerprinting is separate from any fingerprinting completed through the Washoe County School District.
