Paiute Language Classes

PAIUTE LANGUAGE: WHAT SCHOOLS IS IT OFFERED AT?

WCSD offers three Paiute Language classes at three different high schools: Wooster High School, Reed High School, and Spanish Springs High School! Students can complete the first and second year of Paiute Language and receive World Language credit to satisfy graduation requirements. Classes are offered to ALL students.

 

PAIUTE LANGUAGE CURRICULUM 

Developed through the hard work of the Reno/Sparks Indian Colony Language/Culture Program and the WCSD Native American Education Program, the curriculum is based on the goal that students will be able to form complete sentences and carry on an everyday conversation by the end of their second year!
