Family Graduation Advocates

Student Graduating

FGAs attending the JTNN Prevention Conference.

Family Graduation Advocates (FGAs) build trusting, supportive relationships with families of WCSD students who show early warning signs of being off track for graduation. They partner with families to help them navigate the educational system, monitor their child’s academic progress, access needed resources, and strengthen communication with teachers and school staff.

Each high school provides its FGA with a specific caseload of families to provide focused support. However, they are also available as a resource for all families at their school. FGAs collaborate closely with counselors, teachers, social workers, mental health professionals, intervention teams, and other school staff to provide academic guidance and help remove barriers that may affect student attendance, engagement and success.

View the FGA Directory for the names of Family Graduation Advocates and the schools they support.
