Career, College, and Scholarships

The WCSD College and Career Program supports students in exploring post-secondary options and planning for life after high school through academic, career, and social/emotional development aligned with ASCA standards. This district page provides general, districtwide information related to college and career assessments, fairs, scholarships, financial aid assistance, and career center resources.

For school‑specific opportunities, timelines, and support, families and students should refer to their zoned school’s College and Career Center website or by scanning your school's QR code below, as offerings and resources may vary by site.  Using both the district and school‑based resources will help students make informed decisions, set meaningful goals, and prepare successful transitions beyond graduation.

Graduation

Family-School Partnerships and school counseling departments support families by providing clear guidance on graduation requirements, course planning, and available academic assistance. Counselors partner with Family Graduate Advocates to offer personalized outreach, help families understand credits and pathways, and connect them to resources and interventions. Together, they ensure students and families feel informed, supported, and confident in staying on track for graduation.

Graduation Requirements

Please refer the Nevada Dept of Education High School Diplomas and Graduation website for specific graduation requirements and diploma types. For additional information regarding credits or course selection, please contact your student's high school counselor.

WCSD FAFSA Nights
