Washoe County School District FAFSA Nights
Washoe County School District holds FAFSA Nights at every high school each year. Parents are encouraged to attend one of these events. You may attend any of the events. You do not have to attend the event at your "zoned" school. All events are scheduled 6pm to 8pm.
Student/Parents must create an FSA ID before attending one of our FAFSA nights. You get the FSA ID by setting up your account (your personal information) with the federal government. The FSA ID is not the FAFSA application. The FSA ID is just the first step in completing the FAFSA application process. *Create your own FSA ID before attending an event. UNR and TMCC Financial Aid representatives will attend every event and help parents/students with the FAFSA application.
Tips:
• Once you create your FSA ID, you will never have to create another one. Parents - if you have EVER filled out the FAFSA, you already have an account. You will need to find your username/password.
• Only the owner of the FSA ID should create and use the account.
• Never share your FSA ID.
• Parents AND Students MUST have their own FSA ID.
• It can take up to three (3) days to get verified, so sign up at least four (4) days before the event.
