At its most recent public meeting, the Washoe County School District (WCSD) Board of Trustees unanimously approved an update to all school calendars at its most recent public meeting which will adjust the start date for kindergarten and Pre-K students to align with the first day of school for all other students.

The Washoe County School District (WCSD) is celebrating an increase in its graduation rate, as 4,277 students earned their high school diploma and walked across the graduation stage in the Class of 2025. This represents a graduation rate of 82.95 percent, a 1.2 percentage point increase from the previous year.
