Mission
The mission of the Child and Family Services Department is to prepare children to be successful in school by building a strong home-school connection with parents to support their children through educational and school readiness activities and to support the statewide early childhood community through professional development training and resources.
Overview
The Child and Family Services Department consists of programs that serve children and families throughout the Washoe County School District and the Early Childhood statewide community. This department consists of the following programs; Early Childhood Education and The Nevada Registry.
Each of the programs is distinctive and serves different areas that support children, families and early childhood educators. The Nevada Registry provides professional development for early childhood educators on a statewide basis.
