Mission
The mission of the Office of Business and Financial Services is to support all Washoe County School District students, schools, divisions, departments, and employees primarily by:
- Aligning and managing District resources to support District goals and objectives;
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders and others who make informed decisions; and
- Acquiring and paying for the goods, services and employee compensation is necessary for the District's educational mission.
Financial Reports
The annual financial report, also known as the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), is a summary of the financial position and financial activities of the District for a given point and period of time. The ACFR is audited by an independent firm of certified public accountants.
The Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) summarizes the financial and operating results reported in our ACFR. The PAFR is prepared on a non-GAAP basis and is unaudited. This report does not include information on all District funds, full disclosure of all material events, or notes to the financial statements.
