Megan Waugh

Megan Waugh brings over two decades of dedicated experience in education to her role as Area Superintendent. She began her career as a classroom teacher, serving students for ten years at Winnemucca and Veterans Elementary Schools. She then moved into leadership roles, including Dean at Veterans for two years, Assistant Principal at Alice Smith, and Principal at Diedrichsen Elementary for seven years and Booth Elementary for two years. Megan also served as Director of English Language Development (ELD) for four years, focusing on equitable access to learning for all students.

In April 2025, she was appointed Area Superintendent, where she is committed to supporting schools in creating the best possible environments for student success. Her mission is rooted in collaboration, equity, and continuous improvement for every student and school she serves.
