Dr. Mike Paul

It is an honor to serve the students, families, and staff as Area Superintendent in the Washoe County School District.  I have been a part of the WCSD team since 1998, beginning as a teacher at Alyce Taylor Elementary and Billinghurst Middle School.  My administrative career began as an Assistant Principal at Stead Elementary and then moved into the Principal role serving at Rollan Melton Elementary, Glenn Duncan Elementary, and Peavine Elementary.  I then transitioned to district office administration working in the Human Resources department to facilitate the development of Nevada’s first Peer Assistance and Review program to assist teachers and administrators to improve their practice and become and the best educators possible.  While in Human Resources, I oversaw the Professional Growth Systems and Talent Acquisition departments.  Before my appointment to Area Superintendent, I was the proud principal at Miguel Sepulveda Elementary.
