Tesla is providing Information Sessions on two viable options for our graduating seniors…
Option 1 (work and school) - Tesla’s Manufacturing Development Program - MDP. If accepted, students would work at the GigaFactory while receiving supports to attend TMCC in pursuit of a professional certificate. This includes 21 units of college credit - paid for by Tesla! Tesla even provides transportation support to TMCC and the GigaFactory via their bus/shuttle routes.
Option 2 (work while figuring out what’s next) - Tesla is currently recruiting for Production Associate roles. While we typically prefer our students pursue advanced education and/or professional certification after graduation – this is still a solid employment option for some of our grads.
While the immediate benefit here is for graduating seniors, they are also inviting students who may want to consider Tesla related options in the coming years. Please ask your students (grades 9-12) to attend one of these valuable Tesla information sessions - March 31, April 1, or April 2 - 3:30-4:30 pm.
FYI - Attending one of these Tesla information sessions is a necessary first step for consideration in both the MDP Program and the Production Associate opportunity mentioned above. These info sessions should take less than an hour… students should sign up now!
