Ms. Lauren Mattingly

Hello everyone! My name is Lauren Mattingly, and I am excited to be starting my third year as a full-time counselor here at Brown! I was born and raised here in Reno, and went to school at the University of Nevada, Reno where I received my bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies and my Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology. I became a school counselor because I love working together with students and their families, to try to encourage students to persevere and truly reach their full potential so they can be successful both in and outside of school.

Both of our counselors will be in doing guidance lessons with all students once a month. If you feel that your student would benefit from seeing the counselor in a small group or individual setting please feel free to contact us!

The counseling staff is here to make sure each and every student at Brown Elementary is provided with a safe, caring, and comfortable learning environment!!!

Hi!

My name is Tracy Hoerth, and I am a first year counselor here at Brown Elementary. I am very excited to join the awesome team here at Brown! I will be doing individual counseling, small groups, and whole class guidance lessons. I am a Nevada Native and graduated from Carson High School. I went on to complete my Bachelors Degree, in psychology, at the University of Nevada, and my Master's Degree, in School Counseling, at the University of the Southwest. When I'm not working with children as a counselor, I enjoy traveling, snowboarding, paddel boarding, and reading on the beautiful beaches of Lake Tahoe.

Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions about the counseling curriculum here at Brown, or if you’re think your son or daughter would benefit from a meeting with a counselor. The best days to reach me here at Brown are Wednesdays and Thursdays and every other Tuesday.

The counseling staff is  here to make sure each and every student at Brown Elementary is provided with a safe, caring, and comfortable learning environment!!  I look forward to a fun and successful school year.
