Mrs. Karleen King

Karleen King was born in Wisconsin and from the beginning, she knew she wanted to pursue her career in music. Karleen took 2 years of college classes in Minneapolis, MN. She decided to move with her parents to Nevada where she transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno.

Karleen King received her Bachelor's Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Music with an emphasis in Music Education from University of Nevada, Reno in 2013. While at the University, she performed with the Chamber Choir, the Wolf Pack Quartet, and Nevada Opera. One of the highlights of her college career was being a lead role, Pamina, in The Magic Flute.

She is a member of NAfME and ACDA. She is currently teaching Concert Choir, Cadenza, and Ukulele at North Valleys High School and Intermediate and Advanced Chorus at O'Brien STEM Academy. 

Her hobbies include working out, playing video games, and singing karaoke. 

Karleen is currently pursuing her master's degree in Music Education online through Kent State, and will be finished Fall 2020!
